Kings County Brass will perform three concerts: 1) a concert featuring new works by Brooklyn composers, 2) an interactive concert for children, and 3) a concert for seniors outside a senior facility. For our first concert, we will premiere two pieces by Brooklyn based composers: Stefan Zeniuk and Kalia Vandever. The concert will also feature music for brass quintet by diverse composers including Jennifer Higdon and William Grant Still. The concert will be filmed and live-streamed from Mise-en-Place, an indoor theater in Brooklyn, with multiple camera angles to create a real concert experience. If we are unable to present this concert at Mise-En-Place, then we will find another venue. Our second concert will be outside in Prospect Park with enough space for families to socialy distance and move around safely. Our last concert will take place outside a NYCHA senior living community center in Sheepshead Bay.
