This immersive story-telling project draws on the experiences, questions and dreams of three generations of women identifying Brooklynites. This outdoor, multimedia performance will be part theatre, part reunion, part folktale for people, communities and generations separated for a year. Produced by The Journey Theatre Project, they use applied theatre to celebrate the lives and communities of the people they work with. The Gift is an inquiry into the wisdoms and tales passed down, forgotten and yet to be told. It is a conversation with ancestors past, present and future.
