"On Being Policed: A Creative Nonfiction Workshop for Brooklyn's BIPOC Residents"
"On Being Policed: A Creative Nonfiction Workshop for Brooklyn's BIPOC Residents" is a generative writing workshop for Black, Latinx, Indigenous, and people of color. This six-week literary arts container centers our experiences with the criminal justice system. Participants will read and study the works of widely acclaimed BIPOC storytellers, craft their own narrative nonfiction, and, at the project’s conclusion, perform the literary art they penned during the workshop at a public storyteller showcase.
