ARTE is a grassroots, community organization that amplifies the voices of young people for human rights change through the visual arts. We have worked in communities across New York City through partnerships with public schools, community-based organizations, and incarcerated students. We provide access to an arts-based curriculum that creates an exploratory space for students to better understand how pressing human rights issues affect their communities through the intersection of art and activism (artivism).
