'Stella, Come Home' is a dance-theater piece that translates the iconic American play 'A Streetcar Named Desire' into movement and dance through the bodies of our company's international women.it investigates the broken American dream through the bodies of the people these dreams were never meant for. By reimagining Williams' play as a dance piece that combines elements of our foreign cultures (the unusual blend of our Brazilian, Romanian, and Italian heritages), we will claim our space within the NYC community and invite our fellow immigrant women to join us.
