Friends of Bushwick Inlet Park
The 2nd Annual Summer Music Series at Bushwick Inlet Park is a program of recurring evening concerts featuring jazz, Caribbean, Latin and roots folk music on the waterfront plaza of Bushwick Inlet Park. The program will be held on Thursdays at 6:30pm for 8 performances. This summer ‘22 we are excited to welcome our 3 curatorial partners: El Puente Academy for Peace and Justice located on the Southside of Williamsburg and CADRE (Community Artists' Development and Resource Exchange) which is their network of primarily Latinx community artists, artisans and cultural workers of color rooted in North Brooklyn, The Jazz Foundation of America which supports musicians through a Jazz & Blues Gig Fund providing free public performances in parks while supporting employment and providing emergency and medical assistance and musicologist and curator Jackson Lynch who curates American folk and traditional music shows at the Jalopy Theatre and School of music (a traditional music school and venue, non-profit, based out of Red Hook Brooklyn ).The concerts take place on the East River under a grove of trees. with fresh waterfront breezes and beautiful sunset views. There will be cafe style tables and seating available.
