Professional artists, mentoring, training and empowering youths to speak out about Justice and Equity through cultural performances, yielding youth empowerment and community development. My Brooklyn, My Arts, My Voice is a multi-discipline, multi-dimensional community arts and advocacy project. Youth ages, 6-21 will be trained by teaching artists to utilize their voice and feelings to create movement & performances. While their training will be mainly in dance, students will participate in discussions on topics such as the racism, violence, equity, justice and how they impact their community and selves, as Brooklyn youths. Program culminates in cultural arts sharing/ performances open to the public, with the goal of celebrating cultural dance and unifying communities through the arts.
