Redhawk's staff and board will continue to create programs that will inspire Native artists, while also building a connection to the Brooklyn community we serve. Furthermore, these funds will assist in the expansion of our Earth Day Celebration in Sunset Park where we hope to turn a one day event into a two day celebration. Lastly, these funds will allow us to expand our virtual programming where we can connect and learn from Native peoples from across the country so that we can dialog and discuss the issues of justice, equity, sustainability, and cultural appropriation. The issues that Natives have faced are vast and your funding will allow us to provide further educational and cultural programming that address these issues. Grant funds will be used to expand on connecting to the Immigrant Indigenous community of Sunset Park which the Redhawk continues to serve in our studio space.
