Born stateless in Seoul and raised on four continents, Grace Jahng Lee is a writer and editor based in Brooklyn. Fragmented lives, memory, erasure, intergenerational trauma, and home are central themes in her work. Her work centralizes the “other” who belongs to multiple communities on the margins. Her work has been supported by Yaddo, Kundiman, VONA, the Jerome Foundation, and NYFA, among others. She attended the Simon Bolivar Conservatory of Music in Caracas and holds degrees from Smith College and UCLA in anthropology, public health, and Latin American studies.

Grace is facilitating storytelling workshops with elders at the JCCGCI Coney Island Senior Center to honor their rich life histories while increasing social engagement and wellbeing through creative storytelling.
