We turn to the power of choral music to dream of a different future together. Grace Chorale of Brooklyn's program “We Will Rise: Music of Resilience, Justice, and Hope,” features three works by female composers. Margaret Bonds' "Credo," with text by W.E.B. Du Bois opens the concert, performed with singers fro the Abyssinian Baptist Church Cathedral Choir and the Ephesus Seventh-day Adventist Church Chancel choir. Next is "Two Poems" a new piece by Brooklyn composer Nicole Russell. Finally, "Oratorium nach bildern der Bibel" ("Scenes from the Bible"), sometimes referred to as the "Cholera Cantata" by Fanny Mendelssohn Hensel.
