Jesse Barnes is a musician and artist residing in Crown Heights, Brooklyn.

"The Parkway" is a piece that will serve as an oral history/musical collage speaking to the experiences of four generations on a particular largely West Indian block in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. The project will begin as a series of recorded interviews with long-time residents of the southern side of Eastern Parkway between Rogers Avenue and Nostrand Avenue. These interviews will be edited down into a series of clips and layered into an accompanying music composition resulting in a cohesive piece that speaks to the history and vibrance of this particular group of “neighbors”.
