The Free Black Women's Library features a literary hub, a creative co-working community care space, and a social site that features a diverse collection of 5000 books written by Black women and Black non-binary folks, a virtual Reading Club, free public programs, workshops, readings,, film screenings, citical conversations and weekly book swaps. All ages, races and genders are welcome to read, write, work, rest and dream in our space, as well as take part in all our activities. The mission of the library is to center and celebrate the brilliance, creativity and diversity within Black literature while nurturing and affirming the lives of its community.
