This portrait series tells a visual and written story of how community gardens and gardeners have historically impacted their communities and continue to do so to this day. The Community Gardener Portrait Project is a series of portraits of community garden leaders, photographed in their gardens, paired with captions in their words, created from original interviews with the gardeners.
