The Brooklyn Emerging Mural Artist Coalition was founded in 2022 with the aim of connecting emerging Brooklyn artists to opportunities to create public art installations in collaboration with local organizations and businesses. BEMAC seeks to support the artistic development of everyday working people to bridge gaps in accessibility to public art opportunities. Our collaboration with woman-owned, Brooklyn based Seen Media will distribute hundreds of posters featuring the artwork, names, and portfolio links of sixteen Brooklyn based emerging artists to increase visibility of their work and promote their practice. In addition to distributing these posters in 25 different sites across Brooklyn, covering a wide range of neighborhoods and demographics, extensive documentation of the installation of the posters will also take place to further promote the posters and the artists via social media and online spaces.
