Established in the summer of 2022 under the artistic leadership of Doron Perk, More Fish Dance Company derives its name from a philosophy of leaving behind what doesn't serve us, with the understanding that there's always more to explore. The imagery of fish, ocean, and water embodies our ethos of adaptability and evolution. Through collaborative processes and initiatives like 'Open Studios', dancemakers come together to choreograph, teach, and perform for one another, fostering a culture of shared learning. This continual exchange breaks down traditional hierarchies and stimulates a cross-pollination of ideas. At More Fish, artists are encouraged to lead or follow with respect and mutual feedback. Ultimately, our mission is to promote empathy, expand minds, and entertain audiences through radically creative art.
