Capoeira in Every Sense is a series of Capoeira workshops with and for youth with disabilities at St. Francis de Sales School for the Deaf. Choreographed and led by capoeirista, dancer, and artist (Piao) Alisson Silveira and his team of Brooklyn-based capoeiristas, the workshop series will culminate in a community wide Capoeira performance by students and the workshop team for students’ families and community. Capoeira thrives on diverse movement, bodies, senses, and rhythms–we look forward to making waves together.
