Swamp in the City is a Cajun & Creole music festival that celebrates the vibrant music and culture of South Louisiana (Acadiana) in Red Hook, Brooklyn. The 7th Annual Swamp in the City festival takes place May 16-19 and will feature world-class Cajun and Zydeco dancehall bands from Louisiana, dance lessons, jam sessions, Cajun/Creole food, a Saturday pub crawl, a Sunday family dance, pay-what-you-wish programming on Saturday and Sunday, and a jam-packed weekend of music, dancing, culture and community along the beautiful Red Hook waterfront.
