White Bird Productions' Creative Families Residency supports women & non-binary artists who are parents and are struggling with rent or housing insecurity. Each two-week residency includes free childcare through White Bird Summer Theater Workshop, a stipend, and access to a workspace. The residencies will culminate in community celebration during which the artists will present their works-in-process. The event will also feature a program designed to open space for other artist-caregivers to discuss shared challenges, exchange resources and support, and organize for a more sustainable future for creative families in Brooklyn.
