Africa, the Caribbean, North, South and Central America…the simple fact is, there are very few countries that do not have the Gourd within their culture, history, spirituality, and craft. This Workshop includes facts regarding the origin, preparation, cultural, spiritual, and historical significance of objects called Gourd Instruments, allowing participants to see, hear, and touch a variety of Gourd Instruments that have been hand-crafted by a traditional and ancient craft, art, and skill technique called "Beading," showing how to create, individualize, and personalize an authentic Gourd Instrument, to keep, and learn to play beautiful music with a newly made instrument.
