BELLY resonates a vibrant, reciprocal space as four singular dance artists co-articulate a rich, communally embodied language. Partnering first with aching dissonances and turbulent trick cadences in J. S. Bach’s Solo Violin Sonata #2, then a commissioned experimental score, BELLY cultivates a listening world in which each voice is intimately heard. Collaboratively created by Elizabeth Dishman and dance artists Wendell Gray II, Myssi Robinson, Julie Seal, and Hsiao-Jou Tang, BELLY digests the risks and beauties of co-inhabiting a close, mutual space.
