Dizzy is a Brooklyn-based printed art magazine focusing on bridging the gap between artists of all ages, backgrounds, and levels of exposure. We feel it is important to eliminate the emphasis on these differences, while still celebrating the artists’ identities. The last two issues of Dizzy highlighted artists based outside the U.S. Our sixth issue is centered around artists in Japan, with text in both Japanese and English. Our seventh issue features artists all based in Mexico, with text in both Spanish and English.

For our eighth issue, we will feature artists in Jamaica. Curated by Anna Pollack, whose debut book JAMAICA JAMAICA was published by Dizzy in 2019, the issue will include in-depth interviews, studio visits, and comprehensive collections of the featured artists’ work. Many of the artists will be in conversation with New York-based artists, as they were in both the Japan and Mexico editions of Dizzy.

Anna Pollack is a filmmaker and artist from Queens, NY, currently based in Brooklyn. Pollack graduated from Tisch with a BFA in 2017. Her past work has been featured and screened in various festivals, platforms and galleries such as region(es) Caribbean film festival, BAM's "See You Next TIme" Series, Tanya Bonakdar Gallery, 40 Acres and a Mule Filmworks, Le Cinema Club, and more.
