EMME Studio exists at the intersection of Education and Design. This grant will support EMME Studio’s collection during 2022, Misshapen Chaos of Well-Seeming Forms. It will empower designer Korina Emmerich to adequately pay a diverse group of people from local production and patternmaking, photographers, stylists, an assistant, models, hair and makeup, and artist collaborations. The content from the collection will be shared widely and creatively, interpreting the stories of the garments through film, photography and performance art. The collection will travel from Brooklyn, to Toronto, to Santa Fe and back. This marks EMME Studio's first major collection since being featured in the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute's In America: A Lexicon of Fashion.
