The Brownstone Steps Play Festival is a two-day in-person, presentation of short, one-act plays by emerging playwrights, local to New York City. Each play is performed in two ticketed shows, giving you more than one chance to see every playwright’s work, bringing you comedy, social commentary, drama and more, taking. Also known as BFEST, it takes place in the heart of of Brooklyn’s cultural district. Central to Bed-Stuy, Crown Heights and Fort Green, the festival is less than fifteen minutes away from the downtown shopping area and the infamous Barclays Center. Each playwright’s work is performed and directed by veteran storytellers and many go on to full productions.
