Empowering the LatinX Arts Community of Brooklyn is CPR’s bi-annual professional development workshop for artists who wish to be connected in the extremely competitive art world ecosystem of New York City. Much ground has been gained, but even today, BIPOC communities continue to confront hostility and barriers to participation, and it is only by strengthening our community collaboration and support that we can all thrive as a diverse society. CPR’s objective is to support the members of all minorities, with a focus on LatinX arts community in Brooklyn through community engagement, mentorship, and peer networks. During two weeks artists participate -free of charge- in workshops led by local artists, professionals, through community engagement, mentorship, and peer networks. The workshop is carried out with local partners in the various boroughs of New York and are formed and developed in response to the needs of the participating artists.
