Edible Tales is a continuation of our work that started during the thick of the pandemic. The community-centered performance program transforms intergenerational and inter-organizational dialogues around food into movement stories that explore cultural heritage, social justice and sustainability. In 2023, we embrace the natural growing cycle of the project to develop "Soul Food" and "Prayers" - immersive dance installations that celebrate the resilient and communal spirit of the Black experience, and rituals that connect us to the land and our ancestors near and far. Community story-sharing is a key element of our creative process, and engagement opportunities can be found on our website.
