Jessica Dixon was born on August 26th, 1987 in Capitol Heights, Maryland to Carlos and Lisa Simon: two very creative, Christian parents. Jessica’s mother, Lisa Simon is a trained and experienced milliner and hat designer. Her father, Carlos Simon is a talented calligrapher and painter. In Jessica’s early teen years, her family relocated to Atlanta, GA to embark on the journey of starting a Christian ministry, Galilee Way of the Cross Church. It was during Jessica’s upbringing in Atlanta that sparked her love for art. Jessica was admitted to one of the top Performing Visual Arts high school magnet programs in South Atlanta, Tri-Cities High School, where her focus was visual art and fashion design. She loved to draw people and realized that her strength was in drawing and painting art that was inspired by fashion and her spirituality. During her discovery, her parents broke ground on a new building for their ministry and commissioned Jessica to create a painting of an angel to go in the sanctuary. That painting inspired Jessica’s entire first collection - a series of paintings depicting Jesus and Angels. Jessica’s primary goals are to bring people closer to God through art, to uplift people, and for God to speak to people through the paintings that she creates! Jessica currently lives in Brooklyn, NY with her husband, Kobie Dixon and her two beautiful children, Lovegrace and Peace.

"Healing through the Arts" is a healing art making workshop, where Dixon teaches people how to express their hidden emotions on canvas. Whatever they are experiencing, she wants them to put it on canvas whether it is elated or suppressed emotions. Through a series of engaging workshops centered on different painting techniques and therapeutic strategies, she will guide them to their divine healing.
