Exploring Painting and Drawing is an expansive approach to 2D artmaking. The goal of this class is to introduce participants to a rich variety of artmaking styles and techniques, and to encourage them to carve their own creative path. It is open to all skill levels–from those who have never painted before, to those with advanced experience who want to expand their skills. Students will draw inspiration from historical and contemporary artists–from the paintings of Manet to the mixed media works of Sam Gilliam and Sarah Sze.
